Transport Canada to FAA

Looking to convert your current Transport Canada Pilot License over to the FAA equivalent? We can help you with that!

In order to convert the license you must;

Meet the minimum age requirement for the license you're looking to convert.
- Private Pilot - 17
- Instrument Rating - 17
- Commercial Pilot - 18
- Airline Transport - 23
Obtain a minimum of a 3rd Class Medical Certificate
Receive an Endorsement from a Flight Instructor to write the Conversion Exam.
Pass the Exam with a minimum of 70% or Higher
Fill out the IACRA Form
Arrange a meeting with a Designated Pilot Examiner or Flight Standards District Office to approve the conversion request.

Pass the appropirate Exam(s) with a minimum of 70% or Higher
Fill out and submit the appropraite application for License and Rating
Pay the processing fee

Please note that;

Montana Multi is unable to convert TCCA ATP Licenses to FAA ATP Licenses at this time.
TCCA Exams can only be written at TCCA Regional Offices while FAA Exams are available through PSI Exams.
FAA ATP Licenses to TCCA ATP Licenses requires passing two (2) written exams; the SAMRA and SARON.
TCCA does not allow the conversion of Second in Command Type Ratings on FAA Licenses.
You must have a current Flight Review/Proficiency Check.
There are no practical exam requirements for lincense conversions
